On the Rails — American Railroad Dining Car Menus

On the Rails — American Railroad Dining Car Menus

Pennsylvania, Union Pacific, Northern Pacific, Canadian Pacific, Santa Fe, Pullman Buffet, 1888–1905

The American railroad dining car was a moving billboard of first-class travel. The Pennsylvania, Union Pacific, Northern Pacific, Canadian Pacific, the Santa Fe Route and Pullman Buffet each issued distinctive menu cards — often illustrated with route maps, Pueblo and Spanish-mission motifs, or Pacific Northwest landscapes — for their cross-continental dining-car service.

Highly collectable Americana, and a perfect category for railroad enthusiasts or for buyers furnishing a train-themed den or office.
