The original menu artworks in this collection are sourced from the Buttolph Collection of Menus at The New York Public Library and are in the public domain in the United States. The Menu Press does not claim copyright in the original public-domain works.

What we do claim

The Menu Press claims copyright in the following derivative elements:

• The curatorial selection — the choice of which menus to include, how they are grouped, and the collection structure.
• The digital restoration and reformatting — cropping, scaling, paper-tone correction, museum-label additions, and other editorial work performed on the NYPL source scans.
• The historical metadata texts — every block of company-history, menu-context, and visual-notes copy on each product page.
• All original site content — including this notice, the About page, the FAQ, the print and framing guide, and the journal.

Reproduction or redistribution of these derivative elements without permission is prohibited.
